Vizag

Vishakhapatnam, also called Vizag is a city and port, of northeastern Andhra Pradesh state. Vishakhapatnam is also referred to as, ‘Goa of the East Coast’, ‘The City of Destiny’, and ‘Jewel of the East Coast’. Vishakhapatnam has a rich history and was part of the Kalinga Empire.It was an ancient Port city which had trade relations with the Middle East and Rome.
It is the headquarter of the Eastern command of the Indian Navy, the largest city in Andhra Pradesh and has Indian’s most modern shipyard.

- Asia’s first submarine museum opened here, One of it’s kind. A real Submarine which is retired from services, INS Kursura, stands high right beside the Beach road, acting as a link between the curiosity of general public and depths of Indian Navy.
- It is a major bases in Vishakhapatnam which is also its headquarters and is responsible for states of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
